The nearest train station is in Wilmslow, a mile away. If you’re arriving by car from the North, leave M60 at Junction 3 and go South on to the A34 for Wilmslow. Get off the A34 at Dean Row & Styal sign (that’s the 5th Roundabout). Then you just have to follow the signs for the Stanneylands Hotel. When you get to the traffic lights, go straight through and the hotel is about 300 yards on the left. When coming from the South, leave the M56 at Junction 5 which is signposted for the Airport and head towards Terminal 1. Then follow the signs for Styal and Wilmslow, which will take you onto Ringway Road. Go straight ahead until you reach the traffic lights at the T-Junction at the end of Ringway Road. Here, turn right onto Styal Road (you’re going towards Wilmslow). After about a mile and a half, turn left onto Station Road. Continue along here for a mile. When you go round a sharp right hand bend, you will see the hotel on your right.
This is not the right place for planespotters. They can try the Holiday Inn, which is close to the Manchester Airport Aviation Viewing Park.
